FT Teacher and PT Teacher Aides
Kentucky River Foothills is accepting applications for a FT Teacher and PT Teacher Aides at the Richmond Child Care Center. High School Diploma required. Prior experience in a child care setting preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Agency policy regarding criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening applies to these positions. Education Aide PT
Service Area: Madison, Clark, and Laurel counties
Rate of Pay: $9.00 per hour
Program: Head Start
Job Summary: To support the school readiness of children as they transition into and out of Head Start Services. To assist the HS teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Must meet applicable requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards, the Improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007, and any local, state/or agency policies and procedures. Qualifications/Agency Requirements:High School Education or GED required, CDA preferred. Pre-employment drug screen and criminal records checks required prior to employment. Teacher FT
Service Area: Powell County
Program: Head Start
Job Summary : To support the school readiness of preschool children as they transition into and out of Head Start Services. Provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom or outdoor play area). The development of lesson plans and Individual Goals for children, provision of on-going assessment and facilitation of transitions into and out of Head Start. Support parents in their role as primary caretakers and educators of their children and encourage their involvement in all aspects of the program. Maintain on-going contact with families to assist with requirements in health, nutrition, family services, mental health, and special services. Must meet applicable requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards, the Improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007 and any local, state/or agency policies and procedures. Early Head Start Teacher
Kentucky River Foothills’ Head Start has an opening for a full-time Early Head Start Teacher in Madison County. Infant/Toddler CDA required. IECE or other degree related to early childhood education preferred. Agency policies regarding background checks and drug screen apply to this position. Safe Off the Streets (SOS) Monitors
Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women has immediate openings for Safe Off the Streets (SOS) Monitors (PRN) to conduct initial screening and supervision of clients including facility safety checks. Position is “as needed” and may include weekend hours. School Diploma or GED required. If in recovery, two years of continuous sobriety and working an active recovery program is required. Persons completing a recovery center program may be considered for employment with less than two years of sobriety.
