Kentucky River Foothills’ Head Start has an opening for a FT Program Assistant. Responsible for coordinating central office operations, which will include answering the phone and assisting management staff with reports and other clerical duties as needed. Must have good oral, written, interpersonal, and computer literacy skills. College degree preferred with a minimum of three years relevant work experience. Kentucky River Foothills Development Council, Inc.’s Responsible Fatherhood Program is accepting applications for a FT Classroom Facilitator to instruct and facilitate relationship, financial/budgeting, parenting, and job-readiness courses throughout central and eastern Kentucky. Location for courses will include churches, social service clubs, employer job sites, and correctional facilities. Must be comfortable providing instruction to incarcerated individuals at correctional facilities alone. College degree is required, prior experience in social services, case management or services to incarcerated individuals preferred. Funding for this project was provided by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, grant # 90FK0014. Must have a valid Kentucky driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability and willingness to travel the service area. Supportive Services for Veteran Families
Kentucky River Foothills Development Council, Inc. is accepting applications for the following positions in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program:
Case Manager (full-time)
Primary responsibilities will include identify housing and financial assistance needs of Veteran families; preparing housing and budgeting stability plans; and reporting data electronically. A college degree is required with prior experience in a social service related field and/or previous experience working with Veterans.
Outreach and Eligibility Specialist (full-time)
Primary responsibilities will include marketing to increase awareness of the program and assisting Veteran families obtain required documentation for program assistance eligibility. A college degree is required with prior experience in a social service, marketing, or sales field. Knowledge of the Veterans Administration’s benefit system is strongly preferred.
Housing Specialist (part-time)
Primary responsibilities will include assisting Veteran families locate suitable housing and assisting Veteran families and potential landlords in the logistics of financial assistance. A college degree is required.
Must have a valid Kentucky driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability and willingness to travel a 13 county service area.
