A structured community built for individuals wanting to sustain recovery efforts in a safe, stable living environment.
Managed by KRFDC, the Holly Street Apartments are for people who have completed and are in good standing with a residential substance abuse recovery or treatment program, including Liberty Place, and who agree to participate in aftercare services. This project, made possible through funding from Kentucky Housing Corporation, helps individuals rebuild their lives and reunite families.
Holly Street Apartments is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for recovering persons interested in living in a drug and alcohol-free community. In an effort to further this goal, Holly Street Apartment management requires that throughout their tenancy all Holly Street Apartment tenants participate in an Aftercare Program for recovering substance abusers. Aftercare programming will cover a variety of topics including relapse prevention and life skills.
There is one apartment building located at 135 Holly St. in Richmond. There are 8 housing units, consisting of two-bedroom apartments, of which one is fully-handicap accessible. Apartment amenities include a washer/dryer, storage space, and a designated parking lot. Housing is income based. Winterwood, Inc. provides the property management and ensures the program’s compliance with funding regulations.
Attendance at bi-weekly Aftercare Program meetings is mandatory and failure to attend will result in discharge from the Aftercare Program and will also result in eviction from Holly Street apartments (participation in the Aftercare Program is a requirement of this rental lease addendum agreement). Aftercare participants must also attend no less than three (3) AA/NA meetings per week.
