Outreach Offices
At KRFDC, we are dedicated to supporting individuals and families in crisis. Our outreach offices offer essential assistance programs to enhance opportunities and foster independence.
At each of our four outreach offices, our dedicated staff offer information and referral services, as well as access to emergency financial assistance programs.
These programs, when available, provide essential support for basic necessities such as food, shelter, and utilities. Even when emergency funds are not accessible, our team remains ready to assist by providing referrals to other community resources that can address immediate needs and help plan for future crises.
In life, unexpected challenges can arise, from illness to job loss. For individuals and families living on the edge, these crises can feel overwhelming. KRFDC steps in to provide support, using government funds, business and church donations, and grassroots fundraising efforts to meet the basic needs of low-income families. As these needs are met, many recipients become donors themselves, contributing their time and resources to help others in the community.
How We Can Help
Our self-sufficiency program is tailored to assist families facing multifaceted challenges in achieving independence from public assistance. These obstacles often encompass education, employment/training, vocational skills, work experience, transportation, and childcare.
Our dedicated staff collaborates closely with each family to address these barriers through counseling, advocacy, and bolstering self-esteem. Program participants must demonstrate a genuine commitment to achieving self-sufficiency. Local agencies work in tandem to ensure that participants receive tailored services as they transition towards independence, including childcare, rent assistance, tuition/books, uniforms, job placement, and minor car repairs.
