VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

Every year, we rely on the help of thousands of committed volunteers to accomplish our mission of making a positive impact on people's lives. Volunteers may undergo a criminal background check based on the nature of their work and the assigned responsibilities.

Home Delivered Meals Program: We're looking for volunteers to help with our Home Delivered Meals Program. Volunteers play a crucial role in delivering meals to elderly and disabled individuals who are home-bound, ensuring they can maintain their independence and quality of life. Meal deliveries take place Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You can choose to volunteer any number of days you prefer. Volunteers will use their own vehicles for deliveries and will be reimbursed for mileage. A valid driver's license and a TB skin test are required. Training will be provided, and just two hours a day, week, or month can make a significant impact.

Assist in the Office: Volunteers are needed for various roles in our local offices, including answering phones, copying materials, handling general clerical tasks, and contributing to special community projects.

Host an Event

We are always looking for groups to host events for our various programs. Whether you're a business, church, civic group, service club, sorority/fraternity, etc., anyone can host an event!

School Supplies: Contribute funds for school supplies and refreshments at our Back-to-School events. These events ensure a positive start to the school year for low-income children. We always need spiral notebooks, crayons, notebook paper, scissors, pens/pencils, erasers, and rulers.

Sponsor a Day Trip: Support enjoyable day trips for participants at the Active Day Center Senior Center. These outings enhance socialization, offering experiences like theater visits, musical concerts, museum tours, and explorations of state parks, public gardens, and community landmarks. Sponsors are needed to assist with transportation costs, meals, and event ticket purchases/entrance fees.
