Our Board of Directors at KRFDC are volunteer members who generously help to make decisions that help to benefit low income people in their communities.
Our volunteer members Board reviews and approves all actions of the agency. Membership is composed equally from representatives of the public sector; representatives of the poor and representatives of private organizations.
Board members represent a cross-section of people and professions from throughout Clark, Estill, Madison and Powell counties. Board members receive no compensation for their service to the community.
KRFDC board of directors and staff have a strong commitment to support Kentucky’s Community Action Agency with the tools and resources needed to alleviate poverty in their communities.
As a Community Action Agency, Kentucky River Foothills is blessed with a tripartite board. One third of the Board of Directors represent low income neighborhoods, one-third are public officials or their designees, and one third are representatives from diverse areas across the private sector in alignment with the major areas of need in our region, according to community input through our Community Assessment Plan process.
