Supportive Services for Behavioral Health assists individuals with accessing behavioral health services and ongoing recovery support.
Staff assist individuals with scheduling an appointment for therapy and/or a psychiatric evaluation. During the appointment, a qualified behavioral health provider evaluates the individual’s needs, determines whether the available program services are appropriate, and develops an individualized treatment plan when services are recommended.
Case management helps individuals identify their needs and connect with medical, behavioral health, housing, vocational, educational, social, and other community services and supports. Case managers may assist with referrals, service coordination, appointment follow-up, addressing barriers to care, and monitoring whether the individual is receiving the services identified in the care plan.
Peer support provides structured, nonclinical support from a trained and certified individual who has personal experience with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring conditions. Peer support specialists use shared experience to encourage recovery, promote individual choice and self-advocacy, strengthen community-living skills, and help individuals work toward their personal recovery goals.
