CCC Program
CCC services are designed to be community-based services that educate, strengthen, and support families to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to empower the family unit.
CCC services are designed to be community-based services that educate, strengthen, and support families to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to empower the family unit.
CCC empowers the family unit by teaching families problem solving skills, appropriate discipline techniques, self sufficiency, and by coordinating community resources.
CCC staff provides short term home based intervention services from birth to age 18. Participation in the CCC Program is voluntary. Following a discussion with the referral source about the program’s services, the family needs to consent to participate. Services address children’s physical, mental, emotional and educational needs while providing families with the help they need to prevent removal of children from the home and move toward healthy long-term safety and stability.
The In-Home Service Specialist, together with the referral source, will work with each family to help meet their specific goals using the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum. Intensive short-term home-based interventions are aimed at assisting families in learning to live together in an environment that is safe and nurturing. Referrals can be made by any community partner, DCBS, or they can be self-referred.
In-Home Services are provided in the BLUEGRASS FAYETTE REGION of Fayette County and the BLUEGRASS RURAL REGION of Clark, Boyle, Estill, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, and Powell Counties. The KIPDA RURAL REGION serves the counties of Anderson, Bullitt, Franklin, Henry, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, Trimble and Woodford.
To make a referral or check a referral status please contact CCC Director Kristy Hudson. Referrals are accepted from DCBS or any community partner. KRFDC also accepts self-referrals and referrals made by friends or family members. All referrals are placed in the order received according to region on a waiting list.
Once the referral form has been obtained, the referral source can fax the form to the attention of Kristy Hudson at Kentucky River Foothills Administrative office at (859) 624-2049. Referrals can also be mailed to:

Along with In-Home Services, CCC requires a Regional Network in each service area of Bluegrass Fayette, Bluegrass Rural, and KIPDA Rural Regions. The Regional Network has established goals of child safety and family stability and is comprised of community partners and parents who work together to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect. The primary responsibility of the network is to reach out within local communities to build the awareness of the importance of prevention of abuse/neglect of children.
