Every year, thousands of volunteers help us make a positive difference in people’s lives. Depending on the role, volunteers may need to complete a background check.

Home Delivered Meals Program: Volunteers deliver meals to home-bound elderly and disabled individuals, helping them stay independent and maintain a good quality of life. Deliveries are Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You can choose the days you volunteer. Volunteers use their own vehicles and are reimbursed for mileage. A valid driver’s license and TB skin test are required. Training is provided. Even just two hours a day, week, or month can make a big difference.

Assist in the Office: Help with tasks like answering phones, copying materials, handling clerical work, and supporting special community projects.

We are always looking for groups to host events for our programs. Businesses, churches, civic groups, service clubs, sororities, fraternities, and other organizations are all welcome to help.

School Supplies: Help provide school supplies and refreshments for our Back-to-School events. These events give low-income children a positive start to the school year. We always need spiral notebooks, crayons, notebook paper, scissors, pens and pencils, erasers, and rulers.

Sponsor a Day Trip: Support fun day trips for participants at the Active Day Center Senior Center. These outings help seniors stay social and active, with experiences like theater visits, concerts, museum tours, and trips to state parks, gardens, and local landmarks. Sponsors help cover transportation, meals, and ticket or entrance costs.
