Providing Independence

Studies have show that seniors thrive more when living in their own home than in a nursing home. KRFDC offers non-medical home care services that allow people to maintain their independence of their daily routines and familiar surroundings.

Home Care provides help for those who are home-bound or at high risk of nursing home placement. KRFDC strives to provide the highest level of quality care to all persons served by our Home Care program. Home Care services are offered in Clark and Powell counties.

A homecare aide can help with homemaker and home management services such as vacuuming or cleaning, personal care, and home repair. Hot meals are delivered Monday through Friday to participants. In addition, local escort services are provided to grocery stores and doctor’s offices.

Home Care promotes health and independence for seniors while offering support and respite for their loved ones. KRFDC’s Home Care program enables participants to avoid, or at least delay, the need for the institutionalized care of a nursing home.

Our services are intended to help those with limited incomes. There is a sliding scale fee for services.

Personalized Care
We know that it isn’t easy to make the decision to invite a caregiver into your home to provide home care. Our personalized screening system is designed to maximize your peace of mind. You deserve to have a caregiver who is experienced in providing services that are needed in your home. KRFDC runs a comprehensive background screening on all of our home care aides. We employ only the most responsible and qualified people – who are dedicated to playing a positive role in the lives of our clients. We take time to sit down with you and understand your needs.

Home Care is flexible, and we are happy to provide care that fits into your schedule. Home Care Aides can provide service Monday through Friday, anytime from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our care is based on your individual needs. We can accept Doctor’s referrals, but they are not necessary.

Call us today to schedule a free in-home consultation or for any questions that you may have. We will have our staff come to your home and conduct a free, no obligation assessment. Together we will develop a plan of care based on your needs that will maintain you in your home.
Our services are intended to help those with limited incomes. There is a sliding scale fee for services.
