Aging Services
Dedicated to assisting senior citizens, adults, families, and caregivers, we help overcome challenges that may compromise their dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Operating across Clark, Powell, and Madison Counties, KRFDC administers four aging programs. These include the James B. Allen Generation Center in Winchester, the Powell County Senior Citizens Center in Stanton, and two centers in Madison County: the Richmond Active Living Center and the Berea Senior Citizens Center.
Originally established to ensure seniors have access to nutritious meals, our centers have evolved into vibrant hubs offering more than just food. We provide engaging programs and services aimed at enhancing the well-being of older adults in our community. Our centers promote socialization, fostering connections among participants and their peers, thereby creating a supportive and welcoming environment akin to a second family.
Eligibility Requirements
Individuals aged 60 and older, or spouses of individuals within this age bracket, are eligible to participate. Participants should be physically capable of engaging in activities without supervision or assistance, although those who require support must be accompanied by a caregiver or friend at all times.
