Our Active Day Services have been serving families for decades, offering an alternative to institutional care for individuals who require assistance but may not need 24-hour skilled nursing. Our program offers comprehensive health, social, supportive, and therapeutic services in a community-based setting.
Who We Serve
Our program caters to adults aged 21 and above with physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities, including those with chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia. Referrals are accepted from Home Health Case Managers, and while our center is located in Powell County, we serve clients from neighboring counties such as Clark, Estill, and Montgomery.
What We Offer
- Social Activities: Our center offers a variety of daily activities including supervised exercise programs, crafts, outings, gardening, and relaxation techniques.
- Health Monitoring: Skilled nurses and LPNs are available on-site to provide assistance with meals, medication, toileting, and health monitoring.
- Independence Preservation: We empower individuals to maintain control over their activities, boosting self-esteem and positive relationships.
- Convenience for Caregivers: Families benefit from respite care, reduced stress, and increased socialization opportunities for their loved ones.
We are licensed through the Office of the Inspector General and Medicaid, offering Medicaid coverage for qualified patients.
