Behavioral Health Professional

Job Description:
Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Healthcare for the Homeless Project Director, the behavioral health professional will serve as part of the Primary Care Team and is responsible for delivering services related to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or mental health services addressing co-occurring SUD and mental health conditions. The behavioral health professional will apply therapeutic methods and theory to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of psychosocial dysfunction, impairment, or disability, including SUD, mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. All duties shall be conducted in accordance Kentucky Administrative Regulations governing the service delivery and supervision requirements for services to individuals with SUD, Serious Mental Illness (SMI), or Serious Emotional Disability (SED).
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related Behavioral Health Professional field in accordance with 907 KAR 15:040 and 907 KAR 15:050.
Per relevant Kentucky Administrative Regulations, a Behavioral Health Professional may be an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN); a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW); a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT); a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC); a licensed psychological practitioner (LPP); a licensed psychologist; or a licensed professional art therapist (LPAT).
Must be licensed or under approved supervision consistent with Kentucky Medicaid regulations. Experience in addiction counseling or child/family counseling is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques and group therapy facilitation is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
$60,000 – $65,000 Annually
