Weatherization Crew Worker

Location: Weatherization | Clark, Estill, Madison, Powell Counties

Job Description:

$14 – $20 per hour; FT or PT/Non-Exempt Position
24-40 Hours per week

Position Summary: The Weatherization Crew Worker is responsible for performing weatherization services according to WAP (Weatherization Assistance Program) guidelines and specifications.  Responsibilities include conducting blower door and health, safety, and energy system tests to evaluate the effectiveness of weatherization measures per WAP guidelines. Will also be required to perform basic home repairs to include insulation, air sealing, and installation/repair of windows and doors. Ability to operate electrical/hand tools with precision and safety required. Must attend all required trainings and have the ability to pass WAP certifications.

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must have basic reading and math skills and the ability to read work write-ups and gauges and preform basic mathematical calculations.
Experience in insulation, carpentry, and basic home repairs, including window and door installation/repairs required.

Must have physical strength and agility to allow walking, climbing, crawling, and engage in full range of motion (bend, squat, stretch, twist, etc.). Must be able to lift a minimum of
50 pounds. Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions and in varying circumstances including narrow, confined spaces under floors and in attics required.  Valid Kentucky driver’s license, a good driving record, and reliable transportation a must. Position requires the ability and willingness to travel the service area (Madison,
